Extra Low Burner
One great feature is an extra low burner – this doesn’t mean extra low height, but extra low heat. Gas burners are notorious for providing excellent high heat but can be difficult to work with for low heat needs. The extra low burner is excellent for gentle simmering. The fire goes so far as to cycle on and off to prevent over heating: a definite improvement over older style gas burners.
Some Thermador ranges have electric griddle plates. Electrically run plates offer even heating.
