Appliances are like any part of your house. On special occasions, kitchen appliance decorations can add festivity to the room. With a little creativity, you can easily turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
You don’t necessarily need anything special to liven things up. The fridge is a particularly inviting appliance to decorate. Its large surface area is just begging to be adorned. There are several ways to add a special touch to the refrigerator.
Depending on your setup, you can place a beautiful basket arrangement on top of the fridge. This assumes that you have space between the top and the ceiling or other cabinets. Some kitchens have a large space above the fridge. In this case you can place a basket or container which is overflowing with evergreen boughs, mistletoe and pinecones for an eye catching accent.
The front of the fridge is a great place to decorate as well. Festive magnets are a great choice to fill the space. If you can’t find magnets specifically designed for a holiday, then find some simple colored ones to hold up a large holiday picture or two.
Most ranges have enough metal in them for magnets to hold. The bottom front drawer of the oven is another good place to spruce up. You might be tempted to add something to the ledge above the stovetop, however you must ensure that anything you put near the stove must not be flammable. Safety comes first, even on special occasions.
